These verses describe the New Jerusalem. The river of the water of life will flow from the throne of God and of the Lamb, through which all who drink will receive eternal life. The tree of life will stand on both sides of the river. The abundance of fruit will be enough that all who dwell there may eat of it and have life in the Father and Son. Healing will come to all nations. We will all see him and serve him. And there will be no need for a light or a lamp, for the Lord God will give them light. And His reign will last forever and ever.

Jesus promises that he is coming soon! Soon, he will come again and dwell with his Father and with our Father in heaven. And those who keep the words of the Lord will be blessed and will all be with him in the New Jerusalem. He is coming and will bring his people to dwell with him. We should be ready!
Application: Father, thank you that you restore all things. Prepare us for Jesus’ coming again. You say those who keep his words are blessed. Help us to keep his words.
