During the first year of Belshazzar’s reign, Daniel had a vision of 4 beasts: a lion, a bear, a leopard, and a very terrifying and frightening beast. These beasts had authority to rule for a while and affected the world of their times. They are powerful and boastful. But the Ancient of Days will take his seat, and he will judge them. The Son of Man will receive from the Ancient of Days all authority, glory and sovereign power. All nations and peoples of every language will worship him. His kingdom will never end. Though wicked people oppress God’s people and slander God, in the end, they will be destroyed forever. And the sovereignty, greatness, and power of all the kingdoms of the world will be handed over to the holy people of God Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom.

Often, we are suffering greatly from the darkness of evil systems, and we are wondering what is going on in this world? In the end, Christ will come, his kingdom will endure forever, and we will be co-heirs with Christ. We must patiently endure and keep our hope in heaven above (2 Ti 2:11-12).
Application: Father, thank you for giving us real hope to reign forever with you in your everlasting kingdom. Please help me to persevere in doing your will.
