God created mankind in his own likeness. But due to the fall, mankind became mortal. This meant that they lived, had children, and then died. It was the cycle of life. However, one man’s story distinctly stands out. Enoch was a man who walked faithfully with God. He lived a total of 365 years and was then no more because the LORD took him away. He was a friend of God.

Lamech had a son and named him Noah, which means comfort. After the fall, life became hard and toilsome. But Lamech put his hope in the Lord that He would bring comfort. God is the giver of all comfort.

In this life, where we work hard to eat and survive, we too can put our hope in the LORD. We can live to walk with God faithfully.
Application: Father, I want to be someone who walks faithfully with you all the days of my life.
